How to optimise your seller profile on Revolancer?
So! You’ve signed up to Revolancer, maybe made a few listings? That’s awesome! But what do you do next to differentiate your offering? Follow this simple guide to make your Revolancer listing stand out from the crowd!
1. Lay the foundations.
Firstly, like everything in life, make sure to get the basics done. Make sure to have a business-focused name, there is no harm in using your real name for your profile but do keep in mind that the username you choose will be seen by anybody who goes to buy your product, so perhaps think of what you would call yourself if you were a corporation and then chose that instead.
Secondly, choose a picture that looks good, make sure it is good enough quality that people can actually work out what it is, if you have a logo then you should probably choose that, if you don’t have a logo then why not hire one of the freelancers on our website to make one for you? Just pop over to graphic design for all your logo cantered needs. Nothing makes a business look better or more professional than a good logo.
However, don’t think that’s where we stop! Here at Revolancer, we care about giving you every tool you could ever want to make your profile stand out among the rest. Make sure to optimize your usage of every single element of the public profile.
2. Details.
The first thing you’ll see on your profile will be the job listings themselves, make sure to choose short and snappy names that accurately explain what exactly it is you will be performing for any customers, choose pictures that confirm with the above-mentioned rules as well as the rules we mentioned about your profile picture. If a buyer goes to your page but you have listings that scare them away there is absolutely nothing you can do, and always remember, the listings are ultimately why a buyer would be on your page, so these are probably the most important things to get right.
Secondly, we move to the panel on the left, where the first thing we can see in the description box, here is where you should write about yourself, imagine it’s like a CV, include a brief personal touch, an introduction of who you actually are, before swiftly moving onto your professional qualifications, what qualifies you to do this job better than any of the other freelancers you will be competing with? Finally, finish off with any details you’d like, generally, it is advised to start and end a description like this with a personal touch, as it’ll really be what people remember and what helps you stand out.
3. Sell yourself as you would sell your service.
Next, we come to the qualifications section of the profile. Here you have a chance to list any languages, education, and other certification you have under your belt. You should take this opportunity as yet again it is another small thing to help you stand out.
Caution! Remember to make sure your qualifications are relevant; everybody is proud of your drama GCSE however it’s not that relevant to a graphic design posting now is it?
Once you have followed the above steps you should have the basics of your profile completed, you should have enough to bring you up to level with a decent profile, but how do we go further?
4. Outreach.
Engagement engagement engagement, if you don’t have social media for your freelancer business then you are missing out, go set up a Twitter, Instagram, and maybe even Facebook, definitely pop open a LinkedIn, (follow Revolancer on all of them) and then start posting. Remember to include links to your Revolancer profile on these platforms. Social media is the number one way to grow businesses in 2021, by not listing on these free websites you really are missing out.
And by following these above steps, by ensuring that you have filled out every little section on your profile, by ensuring you have taken the personal but not overly personal approach, by listing your relevant qualifications, and by advertising in your own right on social media, your Revolancer listing is sure to stand out from the crowd!
