1 – Please tell us a bit about who you are and what you do.
Hello. My name is Adam Ryan and I’m the CEO of Open the World a new company that advertises opportunities and helpful content from around the world from Teaching jobs, Volunteer programs, helpful travel articles, travel books and worksheets for teachers.
2 – How and when did you get started?
The idea started when I was living in China looking for new opportunities around the world and not having much luck, so I networked and made more friends and contacts in different parts of the world, it slowly developed into a company that launched in March 2021.
3 – What are the biggest challenges you have faced so far?
Launching an international business during a global pandemic is never ideal, it slowed the process for a lot of Teachers and Volunteers, but we have found a way to help them get the jobs that they wanted abroad and online.
4 – What has been your most satisfying moment so far?
Receiving messages from teachers that have got the job whether that be abroad or online feels incredible. Everyone has had a tough year and helping people has been so rewarding.
5 – Would you recommend entrepreneurship to others?
100% it can be very stressful and at times incredibly time-consuming but worth it in the end, take that leap and give it a go.
6 – What was your motivation to become an entrepreneur?
Being my own boss, when the website is fully established, I’ll have so much more freedom and time to travel and see more of the world while still being able to help people.
7 – What drives you, what motivates you?
The desire never to work for someone else again or go near a 9-5 job and have complete freedom in my life.
