Revolancer Rebrand
We take you behind the scenes of our visual transformation
A New Year
New year, new look, same lofty ambitions. With the aim of making 2022 our most successful year to date, we entered January with every intention of capitalising on the momentum we built in 2021.

Before & After
With the foundations in place, a brand refresh was a point of priority for us, something we’d been working on for many months behind the scenes. Today, we’re incredibly proud to launch our revitalised branding, and we’d like to take you on the journey that led us here.
Photoshop & Big Ideas
If we could surmise our original brand aesthetic, this is the phrase we’d use. Our founder and CEO, Karl Swanepoel, started Revolancer almost a year ago. Having had enough of the disappointing marketplace environment that freelancers (like himself) had to endure, he sought about creating a platform that could solve this problem.

Original Website Design
From being crafted by Karl in a dorm room in Aberystwyth, to being successfully pitched to investors across the UK, Revolancer’s original branding helped to guide us to this new milestone. With Karl having now taken a step back from the graphic design aspect of the company, it has allowed others to shine.
Step forward Kevin Mansell-Abell and Ewa Gorka.
Fresh Set Of Eyes
During the course of the rebrand, we’ve been fortunate enough to work with Kevin Mansell-Abell, Creative Director of That Media Group and a tenacious entrepreneur in his own right. Kevin has been instrumental in our visual transformation.

Kevin Mansell-Abell
Working first to nail down a distinctive colour palette that gives us great versatility from a design perspective; Kevin went on to create a number of assets, including our new logo, developing our font and typeface, and advising on wider aesthetic changes. Ultimately, Kevin’s talents have informed all aspects of our new brand visuals and we look forward to his continued involvement with us moving forward.
“When I founded Revolancer almost a year ago, I designed our first branding myself. Today, I’m very excited to switch to new professional branding, developed by seasoned professional Kevin Mansell-Abell.” – Karl Swanepoel, CEO.
Dream Team
Huge credit must also be given to Revolancer’s internal team, particularly our Design Lead, Ewa Gorka. Ewa has played an integral role in the development of Kevin’s vision, and her abilities to visualise, adapt, and create have been priceless during this process. From creating social media assets to informing the final design for our site, Ewa has shone since joining the team.

The Revolancer Team
We would like to also recognise the exemplary work of Skye and Karl from a tech implementation perspective, the consistent talents of Kinga and Gavin in the marketing department, our versatile writer Wojciech, and our incredible board advisers who have provided vital feedback along the way.
The Changing Face of Flexible Work
Our new branding is now present across social media platforms, on our website, and featured in Revolancer Magazine. With a dark navy base, we have a range of complimentary accent colours to help us create bold visuals that catch the eye. The addition of pale blue, vibrant pink, light yellow, and electric green allows us to breathe some life into our design assets, without compromising our focus on quality and accessibility.

Social Media Posts Evolution
We are excited by the prospect of further implementing our distinctive new design in every facet of our platform, with our overriding focus keenly set on delivering a brighter future for flexible work. ☀️
