Podcast #8 – Gavin Gilmour
This week, we are talking to Gavin Gilmour – a digital freelancer, a fellow co-worker, and a philosophy student. Gavin became a self-employed amateur shortly after the first wave of the pandemic splashed against the shores of the United Kingdom. He thought his aspirations through and embarked on a lone journey of entrepreneurship. As an active student, he appreciates freelance work even more. The ability to work around the clock and choose the projects to take up enabled him to continue with his studies without much interruption. Gavin’s experience with volunteering gives us a glimpse into the immense power of dedication and contribution, which without the initial expectancy of pay led him to secure his first freelance contract. Our discussion will touch on the subjects of self-preparation, reasonable approach, and playing to one’s strengths. Moreover, Gavin will share with you the few thoughts that emerged from his experience of changing career paths and managing his own workload. In the end, he will invite you to simply explore, learn, and engage with as much new material as possible.
We hope you will find this episode inspiring and insightful.
